Where is Sticky Home Baked Goodness based?
We're a home bakery in Neutral Bay, on Sydney's North Shore. Orders are available for pickup from Neutral Bay or for delivery within 30 km of Neutral Bay.
What cakes and desserts do you make?
Our signature is the Sticky Date Cake with rich butterscotch sauce and fresh whipped cream, in four versions: The Original, Nutty, Spiced and Crumble. We also bake Spiced Carrot & Walnut Cake, Gooey Chocolate Cake, Rich White Chocolate & Raspberry Cake, Tropical Hummingbird Cake and The Lumberjack, plus individual Dinner Party Desserts and Gift Boxes.
How much do your cakes cost?
Whole cakes are A$80, except Nutty, Spiced and Crumble Sticky Date Cakes, which are A$87. A Gift Box with a generous slice of cake is A$15. Dinner Party Desserts are A$8 each (Christmas Pudding Minis are A$10). You can add extra butterscotch sauce (+A$20) or extra fresh whipped cream (+A$15) to any Sticky Date Cake.
How many people does a cake serve?
Our whole cakes serve 8 to 10 people.
Are your cakes baked fresh?
Yes. Every order is made fresh in small batches (we make 30 cakes a week at most) for pickup or delivery. Everything is mixed by hand using real ingredients, with nothing fake and nothing artificial.
How much notice is needed to order?
Order by 3pm (Sydney time) for next-day pickup or delivery. After 3pm, the earliest date is the day after tomorrow. Custom cakes need at least 72 hours' notice, so please send us an enquiry.
Where do you deliver in Sydney?
We deliver within Sydney, up to 30 km from Neutral Bay. That covers the city, the North Shore, Manly, the Eastern Suburbs and the Inner West, and reaches as far as Parramatta. The delivery fee depends on the distance: A$10 up to 5 km, A$22 for 5 to 10 km, A$36 for 10 to 20 km and A$55 for 20 to 30 km. The fee is shown before you pay. If you're further out, send us an enquiry. Pickup from Neutral Bay is free, and we'll confirm your pickup time after you order.
Do you offer gluten-free options?
Yes. Gluten Free and Dairy Free options are available on our whole cakes, the Gift Box and our Mini Sticky Date Cakes. Choose one from the dropdown when you add the cake to your cart. Our cakes are made in a home kitchen where gluten, dairy, nuts and other allergens are used, so we can't guarantee any cake is completely free of allergens. Please tell us about any allergies in your order notes.
Can I order individual mini cakes?
Yes. Our Dinner Party Desserts are individual-sized: Mini Sticky Date Cakes, Lumberjack Minis, Gooey Chocolate Minis and Christmas Pudding Minis. They are A$8 each (Christmas Pudding Minis are A$10), with a minimum order of 10 of each flavour. If you only want a single serve, a Gift Box with one generous slice of cake is A$15.
Can I order cakes for parties and events?
Yes. Choose from our whole cakes (each serves 8 to 10) and Dinner Party Desserts (sold in 10s) online, or send us an enquiry for a custom cake. Custom cakes for events are always welcome and need at least 72 hours' notice. Tell us the occasion, the date and the number of guests, and we'll reply by email. We don't do fondant: our cakes are simple, home-baked and made to be eaten.
Do you offer seasonal Christmas desserts?
Yes. Our Christmas Pudding Minis are individual Christmas puddings made for the festive table, at A$10 each with a minimum order of 10. They are part of our Dinner Party Desserts. For any other festive or seasonal request, send us an enquiry.
Can I add a message, balloon, flowers or a cake topper to my order?
Yes. Under Finishing Touches you can add a gold acrylic cake topper (A$10), a greeting card (A$10), a helium balloon (A$40), small flowers (A$50), large flowers (A$100) and disposable cutlery and napkins (A$20). Tell us your wording for the topper, card or balloon in the order notes.
How do I pay?
At checkout you're taken to a secure Square payment page to pay by card. A receipt is emailed to you automatically.

Sticky Home Baked Goodness started in one kitchen, with one cake tin, a lot of butter, and a habit of never quite waiting for cakes to cool before cutting in.
We don't do fondant. There's no airbrushing, no sugar flowers, and no cake that takes three days to decorate before anyone's tasted a bite.
Every order is still mixed by hand in small batches using real ingredients — nothing fake, nothing artificial. Because the whole point is the taste: that simple, comforting feeling of biting into a warm, fresh home-baked cake — not a showpiece...
